Personalized Gifts for Cat Lovers (Made From Their Cat's Photo)

White mug printed with multiple orange cat photos, photographed on denim fabric

Cat people are not easy to shop for. They don’t need another “I’d rather be with my cat” mug from the mall. They need their cat: the one who sits on the keyboard, glares at the vacuum, and only loves them at 5 a.m. when breakfast is late.

This guide covers personalized gifts made from a photo of a specific cat, plus a few practical extras their cat will appreciate too. Every product is real and every price is current.

Why “personalized” matters more with cats

Dogs mostly look like their breed. Cats are individuals down to the last whisker: the tabby stripes that make an “M” on the forehead, one white sock, the ear that got a little nick. A generic cat print never quite looks like their cat, and cat people notice.

So every design we make starts with your actual photo:

  • A real designer cuts out the cat’s face by hand. It’s not a filter or an AI cartoon.
  • We email you a free preview before anything is printed. Ask for changes if anything looks off.
  • We only make it after you approve. If a photo won’t print well, we’ll tell you honestly and ask for another one.
  • Damaged or misprinted? We reprint it free, with nothing to send back. For US orders, duties are prepaid.

The best photo of a cat (good luck)

Getting a cat to look at the camera is half the battle. What works best: a clear, front-facing photo in good light, with both eyes and ears visible. No filters. A few tricks from cat households:

  • Shoot at their eye level, not from above.
  • Crinkle a treat bag or make a squeaky noise just above the lens.
  • Daylight from a window beats flash, which turns cat eyes into glowing orbs.
  • Already have hundreds of sleepy, blurry cat photos? Send your best one and our designer will tell you if it works.

1. A custom cat blanket (for the cat who already owns the couch)

Cats choose the softest spot in the house. Make it a blanket with their face on it.

Two styles cost the same. Face Pattern repeats the cat’s face with paw prints across the whole blanket. Realistic Portrait is one large, true-to-photo portrait. You can add the cat’s name, and several cats can share one blanket. One of our photos shows a cream blanket printed with a kitten named Bao, and a kitten has already claimed the spot right on top of it. That’s usually how it goes: the cat moves in.

Tip for cat homes: the Small (30” × 40”) doubles as a lap blanket for the human and a bed topper for the cat. Lighter backgrounds such as Cream Beige, Lilac or Cloudy Blue Sky look the softest on flannel, and they hide light cat hair better than Navy does.

2. A custom cat pillow

The Custom Pet Face Pillow has a velvet cover with a hidden zipper. It slips off for the washing machine, which, if you live with a cat, you already know you’ll need. Small 16” $39.99, Medium 18” $44.99, Large 24” $69.99. The insert is included. The back can be the same design or a different photo at no extra charge, so a two-cat household can have one cat on each side and keep the peace.

3. A personalized cat mug

The cat interrupts every morning coffee anyway. Now the cat is on the mug too. The Custom Pet Face Pattern Mug is 11 oz ceramic. All-white is $21.99, or $23.99 for two-tone with a colored interior and handle (Obsidian Black is a natural match for a black cat). It’s packed in foam inside a white box, ready to wrap. To keep the print looking its best, hand wash only. No microwave or dishwasher.

4. Custom cat face socks

Custom Pet Face Socks fit up to three cats on one pair for no extra cost: $14.99 in Polyester, $16.99 in Cotton. One size fits most adults, and they come gift-ready in a clear sleeve. Buy two or more pairs and save 10% automatically. That’s a good excuse to get a pair for every cat person on your list.

5. A cat tote bag

For the cat lover who brings a tote everywhere, the Custom Pet Photo Canvas Tote puts their cat’s portrait on natural canvas. It’s $19.99 front only, or $23.98 with a second photo on the back. Tall or Wide, same price.

6. An engraved cat photo frame

The Personalized Engraved Pet Photo Frame has the cat’s name engraved on one edge and a message of your choice on the other (up to 30 characters). Think “Professional Nap Taker” or “Queen of the House.” 4×6 $27.99, 5×7 $32.99, 8×10 $42.99. It ships empty, so add a favorite printed photo before wrapping.

Something for the cat, too

A gift for a cat person lands even better when the cat gets something. A few everyday picks from our shop:

Matching the gift to the cat person

  • The one who works from home with a cat on the desk: mug + engraved frame
  • The couch-and-a-movie person: Plush 400 GSM blanket, or blanket + pillow in the same background
  • The friend with three cats: socks (all three fit on one pair) or a multi-cat blanket
  • The practical one: water fountain + a mug with their cat on it, so it’s useful and personal
